Antacids are mostly instant in their action and provide immediate relief. It is safe for administering on children as well as adults. However, the dosage is key as an excess can lead to diarrhea and constipation. Most of the people buy it over the counter and self administer it, however it is not a safe practice.

Gas X

In case of acid reflux, the amount of gas produced is high and it tends to escape as well.Gas X can help in controlling and eliminating this problem. Gas X does not reduce the gas formation but makes it exit the body at a faster rate. It contains simethicone which is an anti-foaming agent.
