Apple Cider Vinegar is used to restore the pH balance of the scalp. It is very effective to get rid of dandruff. It has a capability of killing scalp fungus and bacteria. It brings down the flaking of the scalp and reduces the itchiness caused by dandruff. Take 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Mix 15-20 drops of tea tree oil in water (water should be of equal proportionate). Apply it onto your scalp and massage. Rinse your hair after a few minutes. Try this idea 2-3 times in a week for quick results.

To reduce the over active fungi which can lead to dandruff, baking soda is used. It is used to remove the excess oil present in scalp. As it acts as a mild exfoliation agent, it is used to eliminate dead skin cells. It is alkaline in nature. Firstly wet your hair, take some baking soda and apply it onto your scalp. Rub it for some time. Rinse your hair with warm water, after leaving it for couple of minutes. Try this 2-3 times in a week. Do not shampoo your hair after this treatment.

One of the main causes of dandruff is the imbalance of pH level of scalp. Due to its acidic nature it keeps the dandruff at bay. Coconut oil has antibacterial properties and conditional agent in it, which helps to maintain the pH level of scalp. Take one part of lemon juice and mix it with five parts of coconut oil. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash it with mild shampoo.

Margosa is also known as Indian Lilac which has antibacterial and antifungal properties present in it. It is very helpful in treating many other problems like itching, scalp acne, hair fall, etc. Boil margosa leaves in water for about 30 minutes. Cedarwood oil helps to remove dandruff quickly. You need nothing to do but mixing essential oils of cedarwood cypress and juniper (both about 8 to10 drops) in 50 ml carrier oil. Rub the oil well on your scalp and leave it for about an hour. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and mild shampoo. Use this twice a week for better results.
