Points Along The Spine

Points Along The Spine

This point is located at the upper part of the pelvic bone. Three fingers away from the spine at the lower part of the scapula, apply pressure from thumbs and hold for a few seconds, release gently and then repeat for two to three times. Try to stretch muscles of the area by slightly moving thumbs up and down.

More points At Sitting Position

Pressing the lower back at the navel level with the knuckles help to release pain instantly. The point is exactly located at the outer part of the spine leaving two finger widths. This can be done easily while sitting on a chair and holding the same point for 1 minute. Keep your hands on the waist and press both the thumbs on to the back. The point is four fingers away from the outer part of the spine. Hold for 1 minute and release gently.

Knee Crease

This point is beneficial in treating acute pain in the lower back. Holding the center part of the crease at knee, place other hand at the painful area.

Knee Crease

Apply gentle pressure for 10 minutes and then release gradually. The pain gets shifted to new location, so move to new point and hold for another 5-10 minutes.

Points At Supine Position

Keep fingertips just below the navel and apply pressure taking deep breaths for 1 minute. This will ease out the pain at the back. Now, press your buttocks with your knuckles. The exact position is 4 fingers away from the external part of the spine-between the buttocks and the hip bone. Try to move your knees sideways while holding the point for 2 minutes.

Holding Neck

Place your fingertips of the right hand at the left side of the neck where hands would go from the back of the neck. Now place the left hand under the tail bone. Keep on pressing these two points for 2 minutes and then release slowly. Following this position, move left fingertips to the knee crease and hold for 1 minute. Now take the left hand to the outer part of left ankle and hold for a few seconds.

Holding Neck

Repeat the same positions with left hand also for the other side of the body. These positions and points are extremely useful for releasing energy of the back and subsequently alleviating pain. If you are unable to do it yourself, take help from guides or practitioners for better results.
