Ingredients Required

Onion

• 1 Medium Sized Red Onion

Honey
• 1 Cup Of Raw Honey (preferably Organic)

Glass Jar
• A Glass Jar With A Tight Lid

Directions

Dice onion evenly in small pieces and transfer them to the glass jar. Pour a layer of honey to coat the onion pieces. Pour enough honey to cover onion slices completely. Cover the lid tightly and let it sit overnight. The onion will secrete juice and blend with honey. It will transform into liquid. Instead of onion, you can use garlic also by chopping them evenly. Your homemade cough syrup is ready. Refrigerate it. Take 1 tbsp 3 times a day to get relief from cough. If you are making this syrup for your kids, just skip honey and add sugar to replace honey.
